"Yeah?" he replied.
"Where are you?"
"In the bedroom."
"What are you doing?"
"Hiding from you."
"Okay." A pause. "Do you want me to come and find you?" No answer. He's getting better. "I take that as a yes," I said as I climbed the stairs...
No giggling? 'Cause that's usually the giveaway at our house.

ReplyDeleteYour blog has me smiling from ear to ear! I long to see the grandkids. I wonder how many times I called "Rick", many of those times I had wooden spoon in my hand! You see in the 70s a swat on the behind was still permitted. Then a flash hit me, you would NEVER have answered if you knew there was a reason for my call!!! Vic is no dummy, he just likes to play hide and seek!

ReplyDeleteYeah. I would have pretended to not be able to find him for a while. That's always a good way to get 10 minutes of quiet. But I'm the one who was looking for him in the first place this time, so I didn't have the extra time.
