Simple Logic Prevails

My son sat in the backseat of the car on the way to soccer practice.  He was fiddling with my iPod.

"Dad, how do you get rid of this?" he asked.

I'm a stickler for details, and I needed more information.  I said, "What are you trying to get rid of?"

He fiddled for a second and then said, "Nothing."

"Oh, that's easy," I said.  "Anything."

"Huh?"

"You want to get rid of nothing.  You can use anything to get rid of nothing."  Problem solved.

Sue- Oh, it's not what you think. I just don't trumpet my lesser achievements ;-)

Sharon- As long as he doesn't wipe out Angry Birds I don't care. But I have three stars on all available levels and I don't want to have to start over...

Uhm, but he was fiddling with the iPod when he wanted to get rid of something! My first thought was, don't delete my songs :)

My kids hate it when I use the English language against them - I'm glad I'm not the only one :-)

Laurel- Couldn't resist posting this one.

Donna- It's an iPod Touch, so it's like a minim iPad with apps...I knew he was playing a game and my music was safe.

Annalisa- They get me back. They take all metaphors and other figures of speech literally. They also know slang, and had fun recently teaching my wife the proper usage of "pwned" and "fail."

That's just male logic, Rick. Two males, no problem. Sounds a little like Yoda-speak.

Whatever nothing was, you'll never know now. It can be better that way.

When did you add WordVerif Rick?

DG- I used to have Word Verification and I took it off for the A-Z challenge. Lately I've been getting a lot of SPAM comments, though, so my options were either disallow Anonymous comments, or add in the verification. I have a couple friends who comment from time to time but need to do it anonymously because of the computers they are using, so I opted for the word verification.
