Nice, LOL. What a fun age! Thank you for the link on the Query Slushpile! It's such a great site and resource for writers. I need to get involved with Janet Reid's site as well.
My husband flew a plane at the US Air Force Academy for years...cadets would parachute out of it...believe me, cadets are ALWAYS hungry.
On almost any nice day, we can look out our back windows and see the cadets jumping...very cool! Sometimes I take the kids and park next to the field where the cadets land. All my kids want to jump when they grow up...maybe I should stop those trips to the field!
I jumped from a plane once. It was a static line jump at 4,000 feet. It is one of the coolest things i have ever experienced. I would love to do it again, but jump at 10,000 feet and freefall. The static line is a codr that pulls your chute out as you leave the plane.
Yes, write about the jump experience! Funny thing: My husband says the first time cadets jump, they're all whooping and high-fiving and going nuts right before they take the jump. Then they jump and get picked up for another go. And the second time up, the plane is dead quiet. Hah!
I am a children's book author, writing for the kid in all of us.
My book THE MAN IN THE CINDER CLOUDS is the story of Kris Kringle and how he came to be known as Santa Claus. It wasn't easy. Available at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com in print and Kindle / Nook formats.
My book RUDY TOOT-TOOT is the story of a little boy who was born on a bean farm, and his quest to find the right place and right time to use his unique super-power.
Both books are totally awesome. They are available in print and Kindle at Amazon.com

Hey, this one makes sense to me. It's a perfectly valid question. :)
word verification: suprebu-when something is almost superb, but not quite.
It came totally out of the blue. Maybe that's the correlation...clear blue sky?

You have a young professor on your hands! :)
When you hear it come out in their innocent little high-pitched voices, it add so much to it...
He's going to be a physicist...I can just tell by the way his mind thinks.

I should write a post about that experience...
